What is a credit rating?

When you apply for credit, you're essentially asking the creditor to trust your ability to pay. But how can you as a creditor know if you actually have a sound financial situation? This is done by performing a credit assessment, which may include an estimate of the credit maximum and a maximum number of credit days. The creditor will then inform you whether or not credit can be granted and how much can potentially be granted.

Save the headache and rate your credit as early as possible

Start considering a credit rating on your potential customer, supplier etc. now, before making a price offer. This way, you as a creditor will save money in the long run, increase cash flow and save headaches and bad night's sleep in the future.

Denne indikerer en virksomheds evne til at overholde eventuelle lån og betale deres gæld eller sandsynligheden for ikke at kunne dække eventuel optagelse af større gæld. Scoren går fra 0-100 (høj til lav risiko ved samhandel) og er udregnet på baggrund af en lang række parametre – herunder personers konkurshistorik, nøgletal fra seneste regnskaber, størrelse, betalingsanmærkninger og mange flere. Alt afhængig af, hvad kreditopslaget afslører, kan du enten takke nej til at samarbejde eller gøre visse tiltag, som sikrer dig selv i en eventuel handel. Du kan for eksempel foreslår en kunde med dårlig kreditscore (høj risiko) at foretage løbende delvise betalinger for at beskytte din økonomi.
