Cashflow

Cashflow

Hvad dækker begrebet cashflow egentlig over?

Virksomhedens cashflow består typisk af to hovedkomponenter:

Qatchrs perspektiv: Data giver bedre cashflow-styring

CVR number

CVR number

CVR stands for the Central Business Register and is the unique identification number you get when you choose to start your own business - regardless of company form.

The CVR number is listed in the CVR register, often simply referred to as CVR, and is the unique number a company can be identified by - just like the CPR number that people have in Denmark, which is worn for life.

The CVR number is provided in many respects, and is often used when the company is set up as a new customer with a supplier, as all relevant information about a company can be automatically retrieved from the CVR register simply by providing the CVR number.

COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER

The Central Business Register, CVR, is operated by the Danish Business Authority and is the register that stores all Danish and Greenlandic CVR numbers.

In the CVR register, you can find a wide range of relevant information about a company, such as

  • Legal name of the company
  • Company address
  • Company start date
  • The company's business form
  • Status

You can also find information about the company's ownership, subscription rules, management, company purpose, registration history and historical master data.

It is also possible to find the company's published annual report(s) if the company is in corporate form (ApS, A/S) - and is often more than a year old.

Changes made in the Central Business Register are often registered immediately - so if new owners or management join a company, this information is often available quickly after it has been reported to the Danish Business Authority.

The CVR register, or simply CVR, helps to ensure transparency for both consumers and other companies - by creating an overview of the company and the people and organizations behind the company.

Always get the CVR number when doing business with a company

Whether you are a private individual or a company trading with another company, it's always a good idea to get the company's CVR number.

Because with the CVR number, you're sure who you're actually doing business with. A company name can't always be found as easily as a CVR number can be found - and often we see companies calling themselves something else, or variations of their legal name.

With a CVR number, you can easily look up the company - and get a relevant overview of the company - and thus those you do business with.

A CVR number is also the best form of identification if, for example, you need to set up a customer for debt collection with a debt collection agency, as the CVR number ensures the debt collection agency that it is the correct one. For example, if you only have one name for your customer and it's not correct - or if there are several of them, you risk the debt collection agency rejecting your debt collection case.

We always recommend that you as a company obtain the company's CVR number. The CVR number is the only unique thing a company has; and thus the best way to find the right company.

Companies often use all or part of their legal name - otherwise there are several companies with a similar name.

For example, try looking up "Alanya Pizza" on CVR. dk - you'll find 62 results, so which one are you actually dealing with?

VAT and CVR number

You may often be asked to provide your VAT number if you trade with other European countries, the UK or the US, for example. VAT is a VAT number, but is basically the same as a CVR number - a unique number that is only associated with your business.

If you are asked to enter your VAT number, simply enter your CVR number. Note that some systems require you to put DK in front.

CRM

CRM system

CRM stands for "customer relationship management" and provides you with a system that can help you structure all relevant actions, orders and interactions with your customers - current, future and potential.

In other words, the CRM system contains all the relevant data and information about your customers; contact information, order history, offers, etc.

With a well-implemented CRM in your company, you ensure that important information about your customers and their purchase history is not lost - and is not just available to one salesperson - but to the entire company or at least the employees where it is relevant.

If you use a CRM system, it's often easy to find the customer's general information, see previous sales - but also to follow up on offers so that they are not forgotten.

What are the benefits of a CRM?

There are many benefits to implementing a CRM, regardless of the size of the company - and regardless of how many salespeople and other people have customer contact.

Whether your company consists of 1 or 1000 people, there are benefits associated with a CRM system.

Because the CRM system not only keeps track of current customers, but also enables you to follow up on exciting prospects/leads and follow up on offers sent out.

The CRM system moves the reminder of a sent offer away from the salesperson and their post-its and into a system that can follow up and let others in your organization know that one or more offers are out. This makes it easier to follow up, both for the individual salesperson, but also the sales manager or the salesperson's other team.

In other words, the CRM system is there to improve the experience for the company, the salesperson and the customer - and hopefully contribute to (additional) revenue.

What systems are available?

There are a wide range of great CRM systems on the market today, including

  • Salesforce
  • Hubspot
  • Monday
  • Pipedrive
  • webCRM
  • WorkPoint CRM

You should decide which CRM will support your business in the best possible way. For example, most CRM systems can be connected to your company's other applications and programs - such as your ERP, project management and accounting system.

Our advice is to find a system that integrates with the applications you use most often - and that you think provides value for you.

For example, with WorkPoint CRM you are able to connect your Microsoft 365 solutions with your CRM.
